Dortmund beat PSG 1-0 in first leg of Champions League clash
Niclas Fullkrug scored the only goal of the game as Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.
The German side took the lead in the 27th minute when Fullkrug fired home from close range after a cross from Jadon Sancho. PSG came close to equalising on several occasions but were denied by some excellent saves from Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki.
The result leaves Dortmund in a strong position ahead of the second leg in Paris on March 11. The German side will be confident of reaching the quarter-finals for the first time in three years.
PSG, meanwhile, will need to score at least twice in the second leg to have any chance of progressing. The French side will also be without Neymar, who is suspended for the second leg.
