England Euro Squad 2020

Gareth Southgate Names England Squad for Euro 2020

Trent Alexander-Arnold Included in Final 26-Man Roster

Announcement Follows Weeks of Speculation and Controversy

Gareth Southgate has finally named his final 26-man squad for Euro 2020, with Trent Alexander-Arnold included in the roster. The decision follows weeks of speculation and controversy surrounding the Liverpool right-back's place in the team.

Alexander-Arnold has been one of the most in-form defenders in the Premier League this season, but his inclusion in the squad has been questioned by some due to his perceived defensive weaknesses. However, Southgate has backed his decision, saying that Alexander-Arnold's attacking prowess makes him a valuable asset to the team.

The rest of the squad is largely as expected, with captain Harry Kane leading the line and Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho providing attacking support. There are also places for Manchester City's Phil Foden and Chelsea's Mason Mount, who both impressed in qualifying.

England will begin their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia on June 13. They will also face Scotland and the Czech Republic in Group D.
