Southgate picks 26-man party for tournament in Germany
Crystal Palace pair Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton have been named in England's squad for Euro 2024.
Gareth Southgate has named his final 26-man England squad for Euro 2024, with Crystal Palace pair Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton included. The Three Lions boss had to pick his squad by 11pm on Friday, and he has opted to include the in-form winger and the highly-rated midfielder.
Eze has been in excellent form for Crystal Palace this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the Premier League. Wharton, meanwhile, has broken into the Palace first team this season and has impressed with his performances in central midfield.
Southgate has also included a number of other in-form players in his squad, including Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, Manchester City's Phil Foden and Tottenham's Harry Kane. The Three Lions will be hoping to go one better than their semi-final finish at the 2020 European Championship.
England will face France, Belgium, Netherlands and Italy in Group A of Euro 2024. The tournament will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
